Reporting the Injury
As stated earlier, time is of the essence when it comes to reporting a work-related injury. Every injury—even one that is seemingly trivial—should be reported to a person in authority right away. Most employers file written reports and document all accidents or injuries. If your workplace does not have such a filing system, make sure that the person you report the matter to writes it down and provides you with a copy. Also, make note of any witnesses.
